Stuff Customers
Didn't Expect

The benefits you read about — and the ones you only discover after a few shifts in them.

Fastest boots-on-feet you've ever had

Middle-of-the-night call, sudden deployment, pre-shift dash — pull on, ankle locked, out the door. No fumbling with hooks in the dark, no triple-knotting before a run.

Comfort that lasts the full shift

The elastic flexes with every step, climb, and crouch — then snaps back. No pressure points across the instep at hour eight. No tongue digging in. Just steady, even hold.

End-of-shift relief, instantly

Walk in the door, kick them off — literally. No sitting on the floor unlacing speed hooks one by one after a 14-hour day. Just pull and step out.

You'll re-lace every pair of boots you own

Most customers come back within two weeks — duty boots, hiking boots, work boots, the pair in the closet. Once you've pulled boots on this fast, regular laces feel like wasted time.

FAQ

Common
Questions

Everything you need to know before making the switch.

Yes — that's exactly what these are built for. Combat LaceLinks thread through both standard eyelets and speed hooks the same way regular laces do. The elastic core stays seated in the hook hardware without slipping out, and the link connector holds tension across the entire lace run from toe to top.
Our Coyote Brown Combat LaceLinks are designed to match the AR 670-1 color standard for the Army Combat Uniform — the coyote shade pairs with issued boot leather and the slim link connector can be tucked under the tongue or inside the boot to keep the lacing flush and regulation. As always, check with your unit's specific guidance, since interpretation can vary by command.
Combat LaceLinks come in one size, designed to fit boots with 7–12 eyelets / speed hooks per side. This covers the vast majority of tactical, military, hiking, and work boots — Danner, Bates, 5.11, Belleville, Rocky, Garmont, Salomon Forces, Original SWAT, Nike SFB, and similar. For shorter casual or chukka-style boots (4–6 eyelets), our standard Bootlaces are a better fit.
Setup takes about 5–7 minutes per pair and requires no special tools. Lace the elastic through your eyelets and around your speed hooks as normal, pull both ends through the LaceLink connector, tie a knot at your desired tension, then screw the connector together to lock it. Trim the excess and you're done. Critical tip: with the boot on your foot, dial in tension tight enough to support the ankle through hard movement — you can't add length back after cutting.
Yes — this is the most common concern, and the most common surprise. The heavy-duty elastic core is built for higher tension than our standard sneaker laces specifically because boots need to lock the ankle. Once you've set your tension, the link connector holds it without slipping. Military, law enforcement, fire/EMS, and hiking customers report consistent ankle support through patrols, deployments, and long descents.
Any combat, tactical, military, hiking, or work boot with 7–12 eyelets / speed hooks per side. Confirmed compatible with Danner, Bates, 5.11, Belleville, Rocky, Garmont, Salomon Forces, Original SWAT, Magnum, Under Armour Tactical, Reebok Tactical, Nike SFB, and most issued combat boots. If your boot has both eyelets and speed hooks, you're in the sweet spot for these.
Yes. We recommend hand washing only — gently scrub the laces with mild soap and water and let everything air dry. The elastic and connector both hold up to mud, dust, and field grime, but skip the washing machine and the dryer to keep the elastic tension in the best shape.
It happens — and we've got you covered. Reach out to our support team and we'll work with you on a replacement. Our customers consistently rate our support as exceptional, and we stand behind every pair we ship.
Built to outlast your boots. The heavy-duty elastic core maintains tension through daily duty wear, deployments, and hard use, and the connector is engineered to hold without backing out. Many customers have been running the same pair across multiple boot rotations.
